Job description
Role
We are looking for a backend software engineer to own the creation, design, and maintenance of our backend platform. The role will require the candidate to guide the system's technical architecture to the success of the business. You will work in an environment that is fast paced, has little technical debt, and utilizes the latest technologies.
Responsibilities
Drive the overall architecture of the company's backend systems; including services, data jobs, AI systems, search indices, workflows, etc.
Manage the company’s infrastructure (currently in AWS) through Pulumi.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, test suites, and other processes that ensure high engineering velocity while minimizing cost
Deliver key features in coordination with the other engineers at the company
Coordinate with stakeholders to conceptualize project timelines and evolving strategy
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on backend systems
Knowledge of common software architectures web, mobile, and SaaS applications
